Throughout my life, there never was more than a sensible and practical interest or involvement in government, party politics, or law. I was, I suppose, somewhat of a side-line observer in these fields of human endeavor. For instance, the only prior exposure to the courts I had before this saga was a court argument against an unjust traffic ticket, which secured the annulment of that ticket. My interests and activities in life lay elsewhere. My proclivity tended to be for the outdoors, for sport and adventure, and for nature.

It is my passion to wander the mountains, finding beauty and harmony in their majesty and inspiration in their solitude, both in the summer sunshine and in the winter snow. I love to play my guitar and sing along. My life’s devotion and career, however, was in matters of aviation.

As a fighter pilot, test pilot, and survey pilot, I was technically oriented and interested. I loved the exhilaration of high- performance jet flying and the thrill of test flying. I also loved the technical challenge of solving complex aerodynamic stability and control problems caused by some newly developed weaponry slung under the wings of a fighter aircraft. Later, as a senior instructor pilot for the Boeing Company in Seattle, I honed an avid appreciation and interest in the man-machine interface, in an effort to safely and efficiently integrate trainee pilots into the complex cockpits of modem jet-liners. I also developed an acute appreciation for the cultural influences upon flight safety, inherent in the diverse crews from far-flung countries whom I instructed.

To me, life has been a captivating journey. Although not without its challenges, life’s experiences have nevertheless always been enriching in so many fascinating aspects. From an early age I have had the urge to explore, to travel, to venture, and to commune with nature. In short, to experience the joy through the very best of what a ‘love of life’ can offer the dedicated searcher, under whatever surprising circumstances he may find himself in. That early impulse continued into adulthood and throughout the years.

About The Author: Anthony P. Keyter

Anthony Peter Keyter is a naturalized citizen of the United States and for many years has been resident in the picturesque town of Gig Harbor in Washington State. For the last seventeen years of a lifelong flying career, he was a Senior Instructor Pilot with the Boeing Company in Seattle. In that position he instructed more than 2000 air crews from airlines across the globe and provided line flying training to 35 airlines in some 30 different countries. He is qualified on Boeing 737, 747, 757, 767, and 777 aircraft, and has performed safety audits with several airlines internationally.

Anthony is an experienced test pilot on high performance jet fighters and heavy commercial jets alike. He is also (an inactive) member of the prestigious Society of Experimental Test Pilots. His work and career were, and his ongoing passion remains, oriented towards flight safety for the greater public good. Anthony Keyter holds a B.Sc. Degree in Physics and Astronomy and a M.Sc. Degree in Space Science. He is also a keen musician.

After military service as a paratrooper in an airborne unit, his early career was spent as a test pilot flying high performance jet fighters, aircraft capable of flying at twice the speed of sound. He is also an enthusiastic sports aviator, having owned an open cockpit Tiger Moth biplane for 27 years. With the biplane he has flown in aerobatic competitions, has done wing walking (without a parachute), and has performed stunt-flying for feature films.

An adventurer and keen outdoor sportsman, over the years Anthony has enjoyed skydiving and scuba diving, mountaineering and hiking, and snow and water skiing. Anthony has dog-sledded across many miles of Alaskan winter wilderness and in his younger life he has kayaked numerous rivers of his native South Africa, including a desolate 425-mile stretch of the inhospitable Orange River. On a kayaking expedition down the Olifants River in South Africa, Anthony and a few fellow-adventurers survived death defying encounters with aggressive hippos and Nile crocodiles.

Through the pursuit of justice in the United States courts, Anthony became an eyewitness to crimes committed by senior US Government officials. His testimony against official misconduct in the courts made him the target of an abortive US Government assassination plot, in order to silence his testimony and to prevent public exposure of profound lawlessness within the United States Government. For two and a half decades Anthony has relentlessly sought protection of the laws and has endeavoured, without quitting, to bring the perpetrators to justice.
